You notice headaches are connected to neck tension, posture, stress, or old injuries
You've tried other approaches and still don't feel in control
You want a calm, non-twisting option that follows a plan
(If you have a sudden “worst headache of your life,” new neurological symptoms, fever, fainting, or symptoms that feel urgent, seek medical care right away.)
Why we look at the upper neck (Atlas/C1)
Headaches and migraines are complex — and there isn’t one cause for everyone.
One thing we see often is that when the upper neck is irritated or not moving well, the body can compensate with:
Muscle guarding in the neck/shoulders
Posture shifts
Tension patterns that keep re-triggering headaches
That’s why our office often starts with the upper cervical spine. It’s gentle, specific, and focused on precision.
No twisting. No aggressive cracking.
Our approach (organized, not random)
We don’t guess.
We start with a New Patient Exam, then (if atlas-specific care is a fit) imaging is used so your correction is based on measurements—not hunches. We may use 3D imaging (CBCT) when appropriate.
Then we bring you back for a Report of Findings & First Adjustment, where we explain what we found and build your plan.
We also track progress with validated questionnaires so we’re not relying on “how you feel this week” alone.
This is how we avoid endless care with no clear progress.
Every case is different, but patients often tell us they notice:
Less neck/shoulder tension
Fewer “build-up” days
Less intensity or shorter duration
More confidence making plans
No guarantees — but we’ll be clear about what we’re seeing and what we’re trying to change.
Common questions
Can chiropractic “cure” migraines?
We don’t promise cures. Migraines can have multiple drivers. What we do is look for upper-neck-related patterns and support your body’s function with gentle, specific care.
Do you crack the neck?
No aggressive twisting or cracking is required.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your history and how your body responds. After your exam and Report of Findings, we’ll recommend a plan and track progress.
What if my migraines started after a car accident or concussion?
Tell us. That history matters and can change what we recommend.
Ready to stop living around your next migraine?
Start with an exam and we’ll tell you what we see, what we recommend, and what the next step should be.
